Fixing security vulnerabilities in Flashplayer
No! This is no "Dirty Fix", it's a real fix.
Windows Update for Flashplayer troubleshooting KB3087040 (Update label) has a small catch, the automatic update fails with almost all Windows users, as well as the manual update in the Windows Update area.
This update is referred to as "emergency solution" or "emergency patch", short as "Dirty Fix". (Explanation " Dirty Fix" here in forum under this link).
Even after several attempts the update always throws the same installation error "0x80004005", an error that has to do with extracting the update file in the window system.
Here are the two manual update packs to close your Flashplayer vulnerabilities and vulnerabilities immediately and successfully.
The x64 version for most Windows users, and the x86 version for older 32 bit systems, which are hardly ever used today.
This update applies to Windows 10 users, Windows 7, Windows 8, or Windows 8.1, regardless of the source version of Windows. This does not matter, it works with all Windows 10 versions.
Personally, I have successfully installed the Windows Update for Flashplayer under former Windows 7 and also 8.1 versions (upgraded to Windows 10).
The first link from the two following I have clicked and successfully installed, the links are from the competent website
https://www.cosirex.com/www.windowsupdate.com:
x64: http://download.windowsupdate.com/d/...358aceab49.msu <<--- 95% of all user - Bingo
x86: http://download.windowsupdate.com/d/...f46b769b02.msu

Also, there is of course a great help on this Microsoft website, with the update description of the Flashplayer security gap KB3087040 which
should be regarded as binding for Windows users. Unfortunately, as always, only in English.
Good luck with the solution
